Never in my years of climbing have I come across a short so perfectly designed for climbing. The scrambler short is designed with climbing in mind. Everything from its fit to its rugged durability has been taken into consideration. From bouldering to long multi-pitch climbs, comfort and breathability is number one.
The short’s long inseam (8 in) won’t bunch under harnesses, yet doesn’t look silly without a harness to hold it in place. Its lightweight nylon/spandex construction allows for maximum breathability without compromising ruggedness. Scrunching up off widths and squirming up approaches takes its toll on just about every other part of your body and gear, but has left my shorts amazingly free of any wear and tear; yet the material is thin and remains cool and comfortable. The GI crotch allows for superb freedom of movement (it doesn’t bunch in harness!), and the seams and pocket placement were also designed with this in mind. A handy pocket lower on the leg zips topos, chapstick or a Gu for longer climbs.
This really is the all-round perfect climbing short. Say goodbye to the days of short shorts and inner thighs and welcome the scrambler short into your climbing days.
