Freeride Retail Heaven!

Yes ladies, FINALLY an online retail store dedicated to fast, freeriding women! Please check out the Freeride Foundation: The Female Freeride Establishment, www.freeridefoundation.com, to check out this great new resource for women.

Freeride Foundation is an online retail store dedicated to the women’s downhill and freeride mountain bike community. Jackie Baker, a pro downhill racer, envisioned the site after becoming frustrated with trying to find and buy women’s-specific riding clothes online and in local bike shops.

Though several retailers stocked women’s clothing and gear, none had the wide selection of brands, sizes and colors that makes shopping for a cute and unique riding kit easy and fun. Freeride Foundation’s goal is to provide women with a comprehensive catalog of downhill and freeride clothing and gear in an inviting and entertaining environment.

Jackie summoned her online retail knowledge from her years spent working at Backcountry.com as a content and online marketing editor and began to piece the site together. She quickly enlisted Allie Burch, a fellow pro downhiller and Marin County rider, to be her Web-Building PHP Guru. Six months later, FreerideFoundation.com was born.

Currently Freeride Foundation carries Loeka and Harlot clothing brands, with plans to bring Twin Six and Sombrio into the store by mid-April. More brands will follow, as will riding gear such as shoes, helmets, and body armor.

In addition to the web store, Freeride Foundation offers the following community links:

-A Freeriders Forum where women can connect with other riders and provide feedback about products and gear;

-A Blog that hosts women’s race results and industry news;

-A comprehensive Race Calendar that includes all of the major North American events

Be sure to keep an eye out on this site.
