Low Danger Does Not Mean NO Danger.

Please everyone….becareful in the back-country! We are getting into our spring season for back-country skiing and this is the time of year where we tend to get a bit more adventurous in our skiing endeavors.

PLEASE, remember that it is not a game! Making smart choices is critical no matter what the avalanche rating is. Use the same smarts with LOW danger as you would with HIGH. Rapidly warming temperatures during the day could trigger an avalanche just as easily as a big dump!

Unfortunately a young life was lost by an avalanche this past weekend here in the Tetons and all of our deepest warmth and best wishes go out to his family, friends, and wife.

Please…be safe!
