Spring Time In The Rockies...Or Is It Winter...Or Is It Spring!

We had a record breaking year of snow here in the Tetons. Being the manic community that we are…there was not a single person in a bad mood this entire winter. The powder dictates our happiness, therefore, there were a ton of happy people. Each day of skiing was better than the last. Grins from ear to ear were to be seen on each and every face. The heavy snow began falling in January and kept going through February, March, April… Yes, and it is still coming.

I Lost My Virginity To The Salt River


I am talking about my “river trip” virginity of course. I just returned from one of the best experiences of my life. My mom tells me that I say that every time I come back from an adventure. Yes, she is right, but for now, this one is way up there.

When my husband and I were asked a couple of months ago to go down to the Salt River in Arizona for a river trip we came up with the usual excuses such as, we could never get away from work, can’t leave the geriatric dogs, blah blah blah. Well, truth be it, we could not BOTH leave the bike shop for 9 days, but one of us could. And yes, that one was me.

I Did It!

This is an awesome story written by an amazing woman. Inspiration and enthusiasm just explodes from her words! Chellie Terry is the “superstar” who has written this story about her first cyclo-cross race win. Chellie has been a racer for our bike shop, Fitzgerald’s Bicycles, for years and she is one of the most dedicated, disciplined, and positive athletes I know. Good job Chellie…kick ass!

Pretty in Pregnant

Every active woman probably asks the same question when she gets pregnant for the first time…”Can I still excercise?”. In this blog, Lauri Harris, gives great insight into answering this question.

Sidenote. I went backcountry skiing with Lauri a few weeks ago and for the first time in 10 years I could actually keep up with her. We had a friend, Chris, who was a few switchbacks down on the skin track and he yelled up to Lauri, “You should have a BABY ON BOARD sign on your back.”. Lauri looks DOWN at him, pauses, and says, “Maybe you should Chris”. Love her!
