Freeride Foundation is an online retail store dedicated to the women’s downhill and freeride mountain bike community. Jackie Baker, a pro downhill racer, envisioned the site after becoming frustrated with trying to find and buy women’s-specific riding clothes online and in local bike shops.

I just returned home from Washington D.C. where I spent the past few days attending the National Bike Summit 2008. This summit was presented by the League of American Bicyclists. The Summit took place over 3 days.
The goal at the National Bike Summit is to continue to broaden efforts to advance America’s journey to embrace bicycling and elevate the level of discussion about bicycling to the point where it is seen as being in the public interest, not just a narrow special interest.

It was one of the best girls riding weekends I’ve ever had! The first ever Dirt Rag Women’s Weekend at Ray’s Indoor Mountain Bike Park in Cleveland, OH was a great success. From cross country riders to jumpers to bmx’ers, women of all bike disciplines from all over the US came to Ray’s for some fantastic winter riding.
