
Finally the temperatures rose into the teens this weekend…balmy! After this deep freeze and feeling so out of touch with the outdoors I packed myself and a couple of friends visiting from CA and we headed out on a ski tour! Have to admit that at times I do suffer from that little thing called “selfishness” and I get a bit impatient waiting for people when there is blue skies and fresh powder to be had.
With temperatures well below zero here in the Tetons, outdoor enthusiasts have had to head indoors for their exercise. This does not make for a very happy community. People that are not used to gyms and classes are dragging their feet into the indoor world of fitness. Boo hoo!
Well, if you are a cyclist and are looking to keep up your fitness during these frigid times we have a suggestion: Computrainers!

Together Womenspecific.com and the OIWC has organized the first in a series of trade show Scavenge-HER Hunts that will kick-off at the 2007 Winter OR Show.
If you do not know who Greg Mortenson is, maybe it is time you should. Greg is the cofounder and executive director of the non-profit organization called the Central Asia Institute. The CIA’s mission is to promote and provide community-based education and literacy programs, especially for girls, in remote mountain regions of Central Asia.
Not only do they provide amazing programs to help young women of Central Asia but they were in the front lines for the Pakistan earthquake relief effort last year.
Greg Mortenson has just released a book, Three Cups of Tea, One Man’s Mission to Promote Peace…One School at a Time. Here you can read about Mortenson’s work over 13 years to promote literacy and girls’ education in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
