Flip Flop Fashion: A mountain town wedding.

As I sat people watching at my third wedding in 9 days I can’t help but stare at the footwear. If you close your eyes and listen you can hear the overwhelming sound of flip-flop…flip-flop. Rarely do you hear the sound of stiletto heals clanking on the hard floor.

Boofing the Iron Curtain: Siberian Kayak Expedition

It was an emotionally charged expedition. A 108km river journey down unexplored whitewater in the middle of Siberia. The Onot River’s remoteness, topography and unstable weather, threw many challenges at both the film crew and ourselves.

Little ladies on big bikes.

Was fortunate to spend yesterday downhill mountain biking in Big Sky, Montana. Unfortunately we are unable to get any of our ski resorts here in Jackson to open for bike traffic. Therefore, we travel the 3 1/2 hours to ride lifts. This is an issue that I will wait to go off about.

The Epic bike ride...Yes, on a road bike.

After 4 days at a trade show in the Salt Lake City, I was a bit anxious to get some exercise in. My bike commute home happens to take me over a 9,000 ft. mountain pass. A great way to break a bit of a sweat. The weather was not looking too good. It was sprinkling on and off all day. Feeling stir crazy, I decided to grab the raincoat and go for it.

Outdoor Retailer Day 2: Patagonia wants your underwear.

I head to the Patagonia Press Conference titled “We want your Underwear”, not knowing what to expect. I was sure to wear my Patagonia seamless underwear just to be safe. Thank goodness for everyone attending that no one had to drop their drawers and show off their underwear. Instead we were treated to a revolutionary concept: don’t throw away that old capilene, recycle it.

Outdoor Retailer Day 1: Gen X has their place this season.

As I stroll the aisles and check out the tons of new outdoor gear I can’t help but get a warm fuzzy feeling inside. Not only are companies starting to catch on with women’s preferences for outdoor gear, they are now producing items that I would actually use or wear as a part of the 30 something crowd.

Catering: The Documentary

I think I need to be a film producer instead of a web-business owner. For the past 4 years I have worked for a local restaurant catering events. You must understand that here in Jackson, Wyoming we do not hold your standard events at catering halls or in restaurants. Here people tend to want to have their weddings out in the middle of a field where you need to haul out everything…including water, ovens, stoves, and bathroom facilities.
