Over the past month I have had a couple of friends that have had to say good-bye to their BEST friends. All of these dogs had wonderful long lives of skiing, eating, sleeping and climbing trees. Sammy and Kayla are now doggy saints that are watching over my dogs.
Though I have not found any information to properly back up the effect of altitude on estrogen production, I would have to say that our emotions were certainly intensified. This was a good thing. Day 2 of the Exum Women’s Ski Mountaineering course was full of adventure. After hauling 50+ pounds of gear up to our camp, we set up tents, drank tea while it hailed on us, and then off we went for an evening ski.
Heard and overheard: “The higher the elevation the more estrogen we produce.” In turn, we tend to get emotional. Oh..like we need any more emotions. I guess we shall see soon enough. Today was the start of Exum Mountain Guides, Women’s Ski Mountaineering camp. We are fortunate to be guided by Kiwi, Anna Keeling. This woman is accomplished, precise, and “heaps” of fun.
The expression, “we need the rain”, is starting to get real old here in Jackson, Wyoming.
This really is the all-round perfect climbing short. Say goodbye to the days of short shorts and inner thighs and welcome the scrambler short into your climbing days.
Hand’s down the best pretzel to date. Can’t stop eating them once you start. Great road tripping food. Crunchy and yummy.
I estimate that I have driven 2500 miles in the past week and a half. Some travel for recreation and some for business. Long hauls for recreation, I admit, is a bit easier than when business related. Call me a fun hog!
Through these endless journeys I may have figured out how to make road tripping into another sort of adventure. Rather than gearing up with my camelback, pump and spare tubes, I grab my favorite CD’s, yummy food, and yoga mat.
We spend numerous hours hiking and biking on beautiful trails. Most of the time we do not think of the time and energy put in by many to create and maintain these trails. There is no better way to get in touch with the sport you love than by helping to create the path that lets you do it.
